Since the softener is to remove minerals from the water, would not removing them wreck your pipes? That is the first thing that I visualized when I was reading your article. I’m sure that no one wants to be drinking metallic sediments and things like that. It also makes sense that no one wants to have their pipes wrecked by such sediments.

Thank you for your detailed instructions on how to do a boil test. This is something that I have been wondering about for a while, but I just wasn’t sure how to get a concrete idea of what was happening to my water. This will definitely help me to diagnose my water and finally get it fixed.
