It looks like the saying April showers bring May flowers is in full force this year. The weather has finally turned here in the Twin Cities. You can actually see the grass and you’re probably driving with your windows rolled down a bit. Your faucet is dripping. It could very well just be the washer. But it might be something more than that. If you feel comfortable replacing a washer, go ahead and make the repair. As many of you living in the Twin Cities know, a number of Chaska, MN residents have found themselves in quite a mess - literally. Last week there was an issue with the City’s sewer system which caused a massive back up into at least 18 homes. The damage ranged from a few inches of water and waste to three feet of solid and liquid waste in the basements. To top it off, the City’s insurance company has denied all claims that have been filed. For the latest details, you can read the full story at the star tribune’s website.

Even thought this disaster was caused by a City problem, it might not be a bad idea to have your main sewer inspected.
