There’s a lot to your plumbing system and you should have it thoroughly inspected every year. If you choose not to have that inspection done, there are six items that should definitely not be overlooked. Bonfe’s Plumbing, Heating & Air Service, Inc. offers to inspect these six items on every plumbing service call. The items included in our complimentary safety check are: Safety Inspection

• Water hardness and iron level before and after the water softener. If your water softener is not operating properly, your plumbing fixtures and appliances may be adversely affected due to excessive calcium build up.
• Water heater flue gas analysis and water temperature of your hot water. We will check to make sure your water heater is burning safely and efficiently and that your hot water is at a safe temperature so scalding of delicate skin will not occur.
• Activity on the water meter. We will watch your watch your water meter after making sure all water in the home is turned off. If the meter is moving, that means you have a leak somewhere in the home that should be addressed.
• Washing machine hoses. Neglected washing machine hoses can often break and cause a great deal of water damage to your home. We’ll take a look to make sure the hoses are intact and in good working order.
• Water pressure. If your water pressure is too high, it may be damaging toilets, faucets and appliances. If the pressure is high, Bonfe’s has solutions to get that pressure under control.
